Pear jam cake recipe, How to make cake? What materials are used?

  • 2 kg Ankara pear
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of grape molasses
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger
  • 5 keys

For the cake batter:

  • 125 grams of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of yogurt
  • ¼ teaspoon oil
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup of starch
  • 1 package of baking powder
  • 1 package of vanilla
  • 3.5 cups of flour

For the above:

2 tablespoons of powdered sugar


For the jam, separate the tassels and stems from the pears and cut them into large pieces. Cook the pears in a deep saucepan with water and lemon juice over medium heat for about an hour and a half, until they are completely mashed.
Put the cooked pears through the blender and strain them. Add the spices, sugar and molasses to the strained portion and let it simmer for another hour and a half until it thickens.
Spread the cooked jam in a large bowl and cool quickly. If you get more pear jam than you will use, save it in a jar.
For the cake batter, first mix the liquid ingredients, then add the dry ingredients and make a dough that doesn’t stick to your hands.
When the dough is smooth and soft, stop kneading immediately. Take a piece of the dough the size of a tangerine, roll it out and put it in the freezer.
Spread the remaining batter in the bottom of a medium-sized baking dish and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. During this time, the dough you put in the freezer will also freeze.
When the dough is ready, pour as much pear jam as you like over the dough in the pan. Remove the rolled dough from the freezer. Drizzle over the jam.
Bake the cake in a hot oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden.
Leave the cake in the oven until it comes to room temperature. You can serve it by sprinkling powdered sugar on top.
