2 cups flour,

1/4 teaspoon salt,

3/4 cup granulated sugar,

7 tablespoons of butter,

3/4 cup heavy cream,

1 + 1/3 cup granulated brown sugar,

PREPARATION OF:

Boil a deep pan of water.

Add the dates and let it boil for 5 minutes.

Drain the dates and place them in a bowl of cold water.

Heat to room temperature.

Pour the sauce over it.

Lift the edges with a fork so that the sauce goes under the cake.

Bake for another 2-3 minutes.

Cool to room temperature.

Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired.
